Answers to common questions about our consulting process, engagement structure, and approach.
We work with mid-size and large organizations across manufacturing, healthcare, technology, professional services, logistics, food and beverage, nonprofit, and government sectors. Our methodology is adaptable to any industry where operational improvement, team alignment, or strategic clarity is needed.
Every engagement starts with a confidential discovery conversation where we discuss your challenges, goals, and constraints. We then develop a scoped proposal with clear deliverables, timeline, and pricing. There is no obligation and no pressure to proceed.
Duration varies by scope. A focused process improvement may take 6–10 weeks. A comprehensive organizational assessment and implementation program may span 4–8 months. We scope every engagement individually based on your specific situation.
Yes. While in-person work adds value for certain phases, we routinely deliver effective engagements remotely or through hybrid models. We've successfully supported clients across multiple time zones throughout the United States.
Confidentiality is fundamental to our practice. We execute non-disclosure agreements before any substantive discussion. All client information, project details, and organizational data are treated as strictly confidential. We never share client details without explicit written permission.
Most engagements follow four phases: Discovery (understanding context), Analysis (identifying root causes and opportunities), Design (developing practical solutions), and Implementation (supporting execution and measuring results). Each phase has defined deliverables and checkpoints.
Yes. We believe that consulting which stops at the recommendation stage is incomplete. We remain engaged through implementation, providing coaching, troubleshooting, and course correction to ensure that plans translate into actual results.
We typically price engagements as fixed-fee projects scoped to specific deliverables and outcomes. This gives clients cost certainty and aligns our incentives with efficient delivery. For ongoing advisory relationships, we offer monthly retainer arrangements. We are transparent about costs before any commitment.
Our senior consultants do the actual work — you won't be sold by partners and staffed with junior analysts. We deliver practical solutions rather than theoretical frameworks. We're small enough to be responsive and hands-on, but experienced enough to handle complex organizational challenges.
Absolutely — and we prefer it that way. Our most successful engagements involve close collaboration with internal teams. We bring external perspective and structured methodology; your teams bring institutional knowledge and cultural context. The combination produces better outcomes than either could achieve alone.
We define success metrics at the start of every engagement in collaboration with the client. These may include operational KPIs, timeline adherence, employee satisfaction scores, process efficiency metrics, or other indicators relevant to the project goals. We track and report on these throughout the engagement.
That's perfectly normal — and it's exactly what the discovery conversation is for. We'll listen to your situation, ask the right questions, and recommend the approach most likely to address your actual needs. There's no cost and no obligation for this initial discussion.
Our primary focus is U.S.-based organizations, but we have experience working with multinational clients. If you're located outside the U.S., we're happy to discuss whether our capabilities are a good fit for your needs.
After the discovery conversation and proposal approval, we can typically begin within 2–3 weeks. For urgent situations, we can sometimes accelerate the timeline. The initial discovery conversation itself can usually be scheduled within a few business days.
We build flexibility into our engagement agreements. Either party can terminate with 30 days' written notice. We bill for work completed and return any unused retainer balance. We believe this approach reflects confidence in the value we provide.
